I’m Back!
So I just got back from the Simpel Session in Estonia, thanks to my dedicated team of bloggers you might not have even noticed I left ;)
Well, what can I say about that contest? Personally, a bunch of us felt extremely neglected by people running the contest; some of the contest organisers made promises that couldn’t be kept, and a few of us were left hanging, also, the floor was UNBELIEVABLY slippy the first day, honestly, I would’ve literally compared it to ice, riders were wheel spinning and sliding all over the place, it was a crazy, but somewhat entertaining nonetheless, and for some reason, the box jump lip was changed for the day of the finals :/ hmmm.
Right, Drew Bezanson, you think he’s pretty good right? You don’t know shit. That kid is on another level all together, that you can only understand by seeing it in the flesh.
Some other riders I can think of that killed it would be:
Dan Foley, premiums young gun had tons of original style, and was a pleasure to watch.
Ben Wallace, everytime I see him ride I am clearly reminded as to why he has earned the name he has.
Maddog, front flip a driveway? OK.
And last but certainly not least, Diego Canina, went higher and bigger than the majority of people this weekend, somehow bounces straight back up from the most horrible of crashes too.
So yeah, the comp itself was insane, I met some new people, saw some good stuff and laughed harder than ever for four days straight, now I’m back home in miserable old England with a bunch of footage, a serious lack of sleep and alot of very funny stories, most of which may not be for your ears.
FFWD Simpel Session highlights will be up Tuesday or Wednesday, with a couple of other goodies to follow, so stay tuned! For now, check out RideUK’s best trick video.
