The Helmet Debate

DIG have an interesting feature up on their site about wearing helmets. Whilst most of you will probably turn your nose up, yawn or simply skip past, I would recommend taking 5 minutes to flick through and hear out opinions from the likes of Matt Beringer, Robbie Morales and Van Homan.

If anyone gives a shit, my two cents, I’ve always worn a helmet. Predominantly I ride skateparks, skateparks are fun. I don’t go high and I don’t go fast, but when I hit my head it fucking hurts, and sadly, as more tragic injuries seem to pop up, it only takes one hit to drastically change your life.

Sure, a great deal of people I know don’t choose to ride with a helmet, it’s your decision, just as it is mine. Why and when was it decided that wearing a helmet was lame or made a trick void?

This quote from Tom White literally leaves me baffled, how fucking retarded.

“You can’t film a clip with a helmet because it won’t count, unless you’re Jay Miron, so what’s the point?”
