Kinks Sean Sexton and Tony Hamlin are coming over to the UK, which means they will be teaming up with the Kink UK team to go on a little foray around England to do some riding and pop into a few shops and skateparks alog the way to sign some autographs and do some flairs. More info can be found @ Seventies.

FFWD Bike Check : Timmy (THE BOSS)

It’s unfortunate that people still feel the need to run brakes but i suppose that someone has to do it. Timmy (THE BOSS) has recently got himself a new bike though Zeal and I have to say that it looks good (apart from the wheel stopping contraption) but let us know what you think in the comments…

New Mankind rider – Michael Steingraeber

Germany’s Michael Steingraeber has just joined the Mankind team and had this to say:

“I have been with Dragonfly for over 15 years, working for them, riding for them, designing parts for them. It’s been a very good time and I am very appreciative for all the support they have given me. I would not be where I am now without them! But everything changes over time, and for me the time has come to walk a different path. I will ride for Mankind Bikes as off now. The much liked Alive frame was the first Flatland product in the Mankind lineup, with more to come in the second half of 2010. Mankind gave me the chance to design a signature Flatland frame. I am happy to let you know my frame will feature the style and quality that all Mankind products are so well known for as well as the functionality that I am looking for in every product I want to use.”

Dan Lacey – New Prototype frame

There aren’t many riders fro the UK who get a signature frame so whenever this happens I think we should all celebrate. But seriously Dan reps it hard for the UK I for one am stoked for him. Apparently it’s gonna have a 75.5 head angle and I’m sure if Dan’s riding it then it’s will be strong.

New LOTEK mixtape in the works

Yes, yes, yes, it looks as though Lotek are working on a new mixtape that will drop in late 2010, which is sweet because their first one was amazing. For more info please visit LOTEK.

Coalition – Up in Smoke Tour

You know the saying, “cometh the hour, cometh the man”, well it looks like my time as well as David Grant’s have come. The pic above was taken a few days into the ‘up in smoke tour’ that the Coalition US team are on atm. And like David who stepped up to this 25-set rail for breakfast, it’s now  my time to set up to the plate and start blogging the SH!* out of FFWD because Mikey’s in Estonia at a little known contest called the Simple Session. (you may have heard of it)

Matt Colisch Interview On Coalition

There’s an interview up on BMX Union with Matt Colisch, Coalition’s new U.S. TM about how the brand went off the radar for a while, and how it’s coming back stronger than ever.

The Third And The Seventh

The Third & The Seventh from Alex Roman on Vimeo.

This is hands down, the most amazing thing I have ever seen (this year…) This video (non-bmx) was created by Alex Roman, who is not only a computer graphics, music and sound designer, but an architecturer too, who ‘tries to illustrate architecture art across a photographic point of view where main subjects are already-built spaces.’ I can’t begin to imagine how long this must’ve taken, apparently, EVERYTHING apart from the photographer (which was animated on a green screen) and the timelapses of clouds and plants is ANIMATED.

That’s right, ANIMATED, a computer generated image, ‘drawn with a computer’ essentially. Take a watch to find out why this is so fascinating.
